School started and on the first day we held an active shooter training. I volunteered to ride in the helicopter as a critically injured gun shot victim. It was a gut wrenching experience listening to kids acting injured. The ride was a chance of a lifetime, but knowing in real life what we would be leaving behind was tough as an administrator.
The Pollards have also taken to carpooling this school year. The first day we made it to a few miles from town until my morning delightfully chipper personality clashed with Cullen's quiet outlook on the day. We will continue to work through it. Happy School Year 2015-2016
