Jett and Pop

I took Jett to see my dad this past Saturday.   Most of the time they spend together they seem to stare and smile at each other.  Jett discovered my dad's aquarium this visit and he was mesmerized by the bubbles and the fish.  I've spent many hours in the past month with my dad in waiting rooms, doctors' offices, and not so happy places, so I thought a visit from this little man might make him smile.

Reunited

Jett and I had time to kill before a birthday party last week so I took him to see Mamaw. He told her everything she had missed not keeping him. They talked and cooed and played like old times. He loves her and was so excited she wanted to keep him today. Cullen said he squealed when she got him and she was waiting at the door when he pulled up. I can't wait to hear about the fun they have together.

Jett Boy

 When Jett Boy is awake, he is normally happy.  He loves to be sitting or standing.  He wants to be the center of attention and wants people to be talking to him.  I am having so much fun dressing him in the different outfits I made when I had to do a wardrobe redo from Sarah Cullen to Jett.  He loves his Daddy and lights up when Cullen says his name.

All in a Day's Work

So one would think that a job in administration would keep me from the grunt work. Hahahah it has actually put me more into it, and I love it. Working through the summer is not why I went into education, but I am learning to love not knowing what each day will bring with my summer work. Ms Babb and I have spent several days in the shed, organizing, stacking, and throwing away lots of items. This pic was me leaving the shed, shoved into Ms Babb's truck.

Pool Boy

While Julie and Meagan were traipsing through Europe, we used their pool.  I say used loosely, meaning my toes got a little water exposure.  Jett loves the water.  It seems so cold to me, but he didn't mind splashing around.  One thing that is nice, is that the water makes Baby Boy super tired.  I can't wait for some days off from school to enjoy the pool with him during the day.  Thanks Aunt Mae and Jules for the pool!

Nineteen Weeks

 Jett is still not sleeping in stints longer than two hours during the night.  He must be teething, he is drooling like a faucet runs.  He has bouts of extreme fussiness.  He has two parents that need sleep.  

He is doing better sitting up.  His new favorite toy is his bouncing exersaucer.  He loves being outside, and will quiet down in a minute if we take him outside.  He is trying lots of new fruits and veggies.  He is 18 lbs. oz.

This one is teething I believe! He doesn't sleep for much longer than 2 hours at a stretch, went on a cereal strike for three days, has been fussy which is super unlike him, and has had more dirty diapers than I care to write about. And in the midst of his feeling bad, he smiles this smile and I think to myself- it's okay baby boy spit up on me again I think it goes with my outfit, or don't worry that last hour bout of crying was almost cute... This boy makes my sleep deprived self just melt.
