This sweet friend and I have been through a lot over the years.  Thinking back to eighth grade, she was the very first friend I remember telling my parents were getting divorced. We sat side by side in Gertrude Kemp's World History class and studied for finals we were exempt from just to get a better grade.  She is the most honest human I've ever met, she will never sugar coat to make you feel better, she has listening ear for that, and then her truthful tongue will get you right back on track.  We had a rare moment without children the other night and just enjoyed catching up.  The older I get the more I appreciate a good time with good friends.
