Grace and James Kids Clothing

You guys, my friend Georgia Ann Moore and her sister have created the sweetest line of children's clothing.  As soon as their first line was in production I knew Jett had to have an outfit.  

 It was the sweetest bunny wreath tab that reverses to a sand dollar.  The details are so well placed.  

 As Jett Boy laid in my arms during church Sunday I studied the piping, the pleats and the stitching.  They are perfect.  (Almost as perfect as Jett acts when being photographed.  You guys, this kid is a MESS.)

I highly recommend them, go buy up some cute outfits, share them with your friends, they are Mississippi girls working to keep our kiddos in sweet Southern outfits.

Bible Journaling

I spent a lot of time in the Word over Spring Break.  I searched for ways to procrastinate and studying verse after very seemed a worthwhile distractor.  I have loved my bible study on Sunday, but I love sitting at my table and responding to the scriptures all by myself.  

Spring Break

 I procrastinated a lot during Spring Break.  I procrastinate a lot in life, but give me school work and a deadline and my procrastination problem grows.  So with my doctoral comps due the final day of Spring Break I spent time painting.  What happened was, when I sat down to work and write I needed to get my Easter decorations out.  When I did that, I noticed I needed some new art for my mantle. Then I needed to paint for other people.  Then I needed to write.

 I spent some sweet nap time with this precious babe.  He says he is a big boy and not to call him a baby, but he is just precious.

 Cullen was a champ and spent a lot of time entertaining Jett so I could write and they did "man things."

And we did make several family runs to Sonic to celebrate page after page written, and in the blink of an eye....Spring Break 2016 was over.

Waiting on Kate

We are waiting for sweet Kate to arrive! I was able to see Leslie on her last Friday before maternity leave on Tuesday!!!! Come on baby Kate!

February Resolution

 Okay so my 2016 resolution was to run a half marathon a month, I'm proud to report month 2 is DONE.  It was my worst time by far, but I ran with a friend 20 years my senior and I was NOT leaving her.  I am thankful for the chance to talk and impressed she was steady in her pace the entire time.  It was the first half for our school librarian, Ms. Newman, and she KILLED it.  So proud of her.  Best surprise of the day was to see Jett Boy and Cullen at the finish line...that never happens so it was great to share this one with them.

Mighty Kids Half

 So finally there was another close half marathon.  I ran in Oxford.  It was not a PR at all. I ran with my friend from church Donna.  It was hilly.  The weather was fine.  I finished but I was very disappointed with our finish time.  It's really the first time I had promised someone I'd run with them.

The highlight was my two boy being at the finish line.

Self-imposed Time Out

 Sometimes choir just gets to be too much for Jett.  It is too much time I'm not giving him attention, too much time he has to be still, too much time he has to be nice...I guess it is just too much.  The last couple of weeks he has put himself in time out, outside the classroom.  

 Mary Collins is his partner in crime and they seemed to have the best time in time out.  So much fun in fact, they told me to go back inside, they were fine.

They look like they are up to no good, but they are the sweetest of friends.

Love Birds

These precious babies were adorable at church this morning sharing sugar before the sermon.  I mean they shared a seat and snacks and smooches.  Valentine's seems to come quickly after Jett's birthday.  We spent the day at church it seems.  I gave Cullen a phone cover (romantic- I know...) and Cullen decided at 33 he was too old to give me anything.  I see a new pair of running shoes in my future...just the perfect pair to make up for it.  I should remind him the last time he didn't get me anything for Valentine's he got a nasty case of Pitiriosis Rosea... itchy hives that hang around for six weeks.

Baby Kate

 Leslie's pregnancy has flown by and we had to get her shower in before that baby arrived. 

 We gathered at the Grille in Tupelo and shared laughs, stories, worries, and memories. Katherine Anne will be here in the coming weeks.

Soccer State Championship Game

Cullen's soccer team he is an assistant coach for made it to state playoffs.  They came in second, but the whole family turned out to support him.
