Peek a Boo

We are up to our eyeballs in Christmas and I have so many blogs to write, but they can wait...because this face needs more attention. Merry Christmas Eve

Cullen's Family Christmas

It is tradition that on Christmas Eve we go to Cullen's parents.  So we headed over there just after lunch.
Leila was asleep until just before the gift opening.

It was fun to watch the babies, and to think about how subdued they were this year, but how next year it will be crazy.
Jett boy got a lot of books, puzzles and some more toys.

 Leila liked Jett's books.

This is pretty much how the babies played, back to back...one day I'm sure they will play with each other.
This is the only smile I captured of Leila.

Jett liked his tricycle he just needs to get a little bit bigger.

And once Jett Boy was the only one left, he got in the floor and played on the pots with spoons, who needs toys.

Eleven Months

I can not believe that this walking baby boy is eleven months old.  He is more and more fun every day. I can't believe how much just in a month he has changed.
He is getting slimmer even though everyone says he is so big.
He wears a 12 month and some 18 month clothing a size 4 diaper and a size 5 shoe.
I am still nursing him at night and his bottles are part whole milk part breast milk.
He can say a few words.  Dada is his go to word, but he can say Mama if he wants something.  He loves to say Uh-Oh just before he drops something.  He can say Bye Bye and Hi.
He has two bottom teeth and the beginnings of two top teeth one is more prominent than the other.
He likes to feed himself bits of table food.  He still eats some squirt packs and some baby food.  He prefers fruits over veggies.
He can wave and had begun to point and things.

Cousins at Christmas

Jett's great aunt, Janice, was sweet enough to hostess us at her home Sunday night.  She works nights as a pharmacist and wasn't going to be able to visit on Christmas day.

Cullen's sister, Faren, was in town for a few days and so we were able to get the babies together.  There is only five weeks between them in age, but they really didn't play together at all.  They play more side by side, doing their own thing.  Jett is really in to walking, so he was on the go the whole time.
Trey is the one cousin of Cullen's that I have always said I would let babysit.  He is so good with babies.

Johnny Mathis at the Orpheum

The only concert I've ever heard my mom talk about going to was to see Johnny Mathis when she was a senior in college. So when I saw he would be at the Orpheum, I knew we had to go.  It is safe to say that I was the youngest person there and was asked by a lady seated behind me if I even knew a song he sang.  It was so much fun and I'm glad we got to go.

Lily James' First Birthday

Lily James turned one Saturday.  She had a Winter Wonderland themed party.
Jett loved her pink car. He was trying to show her how to drive, steer, and push it.

The sweets came from a store in Hernando called Lady Bugs.  They were all organic, using farm fresh eggs, butter, and milk from cows raised locally.

 Everything was 'Snow Covered'

Lily loves her Daddy and was super sweet to her friends that came.
Jett loved playing with his friends and loved all of Lily's toys.

Countdown to Christmas Party Four 'Crafty Christmas'

Last year our Sunday School class decided we would play Dirty Santa and that the gift each couple brought had to be homemade.

This was the gift I took home, because I stuck to my rule from last year... DO NOT OPEN from the PILE steal, steal, steal.

This is the gift I made, a Mississippi pillow.

This was probably the gift that took the most skill.  Chase's frame.
Most of the girls from our group.  We were missing some that had other plans, but we are steadily growing as a group.
These are our teachers, Mark and Emily.  They started leading our class from the beginning five and half years ago.  We started with three couples and have now lost the other charter couple from our class  to a move for a coaching job.  I'm thankful for Mark and Emily and their dedication to being with our class.
